Spam protection
We use JavaScript email links to avoid email address harvesting from your website, while preserving the ease of use of standard e-mail links. Your e-mail address is only stored in coded form making it very hard for a computer program to reveal your email address. As with a regular email link, clicking on an encoded link launches the visitors e-mail client window. Safe and Simple.

Point being, if you can't read the email address on the Web, neither can the Spam bots.
